ART STEEDLE

Licensed Contractor

Art Steedle, a Pittsburgh Native, decided to hang up his hammer on the east coast and relocate to sunny California bringing his general contracting skills with him. Starting Steedle Brothers Construction in 2005, Art & his team have remodeled, rehabbed and built just about everything. From auto dealerships to custom and tiny container homes, and working with some of the top celebrities in Hollywood.  Art prides himself on building, renovation and refurbishment projects with the utmost quality in mind regardless of size.

In addition to running Steedle Brothers Construction, Art has also expanded his television career working on HGTV’s Jaime Durie’s Outdoor Room, DIY’s I hate my Yard, HLN’s Homeowner Justice (where he saves homeowners that have been wrecked by renovation disasters), talk shows like Home and Family and Hallmark’s “Containers Homes 101,” and most recently Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

In his spare time, Art runs a shop in Long Beach where he builds furniture out of vintage and recycled materials, rehabs classic automobiles, and owns MANTIQUES, a collection of vintage memorabilia that is bought and sold online, and is working on turning a line of shipping containers into usable spaces.

Art believes containers homes should be at the cutting edge for dealing with the housing needs of today’s society. Container homes, like the ones that Art and his team build, could provide for an affordable housing alternative with low build costs and attainable home owner prices, or serve as a way to set up housing for the homeless. This is a project that is very important to Art that he would love to discuss more with anyone interested.
